Aug 25, 1997. Need to get a new hiding place for the boa or adapt the current cover by putting paper in it. Held the boa for about and hour and after getting a better look and feel for the boa it seems to be in realy good shape with its scales being readly smoth. When moving around it has a good grip on me.
Aug 26, 1997. Put newspaper on the hidding place to make it smaller. The boa seems to like the new place. The boa is hidding in the back of the hiding place where no one can see her.
Aug 27, 1997. Put more paper in the hiding place to make it harder to hide in the back. Want to be able to see she when she is a sleep. Held the boa some more and let it craw all over me. I don't seem to be afried of the boa any more. Had Harold hold the boa for a while as well as Judy and the boa doesn't seem to care.
Aug 28, 1997. Came up with a name for the boa. Malice, from the Dark Elf Trilogy.
Aug 29, 1997. Feed malice for the first time. Went to the pet store to get a fussy to feed malice. I put the mouse in the tank and then got the snake out of its hole and put its nose in front of the mouse. As soon as malice saw the mouse it striked and coiled around the mouse. In about 10 minutes it had eaten the mouse. Malice contiouned to go around the tank for about half an hour. Not sure if it was looking for more food or if it was to digest the food.
Sep 4, 1997. Malice has been realy active today and yesturday. It may be that Malice is hungry and looking for food. I will see how Malice is tomarrow after I feed her.
Sept 5, 1997. Feed Malice today and she ate the food really fast I got her a Fussy this time show it sould be more food so that see is not hungry like this week.
Sept 9, 1997, Looks like Malice is now use to her new envirnment. Everyday she will come out of her hole and look around. She will come out around 6pm and then around 9pm. She will stay out about 10-20 minute as she goes around her tank and then will go back to her hole. March 10, 1998, Its been awhile sense I wrote here. Malice is doing fine Had a scar when she didn't eat for about 12 days. Found that se had sheded and maybe that was the cuase. She finally eat again. I had given her a mouse and she killed it but didn't eat it. I then gave her a mouse the next day and she didn't touch the mouse for about 2 day and then she ate it. Malice was about 26 inches long the last time I messured her. I will have to see how long she is now that she has sheded again.
